Fumex ME extraction arms have been developed for laboratories and other workplaces requiring precise local extraction. They capture gases, vapours and airborne particles close to their source, helping to reduce the release of contaminants into the working environment.

The extraction arms are flexible and easy to position, remain stable in the selected position and can be folded away from the work area when not in use. The special joint design of the Fumex ME provides a low pressure drop, contributing to an efficient and energy-saving extraction system.

Flexible design for different work areas

Fumex ME extraction arms are available in different lengths and with pipe diameters of 50, 75 and 100 mm. They can be mounted on ceilings, walls or workbenches, making them suitable for integration into both new and existing laboratory extraction systems.

The appropriate size and configuration can be selected according to the work process, the type of contaminant, the required airflow and the available workspace.

Different versions for specific working environments

Fumex ME extraction arms are available in several material and technical versions:

• STD version for most laboratory and light industrial applications
• PP version for extracting high concentrations of highly corrosive airborne contaminants
• ESD version for working environments where reducing risks associated with electrostatic discharge is important
• ATEX version for use in potentially explosive atmospheres

The available pipe diameters and accessories may vary between versions. The specific requirements of the application must therefore be considered when configuring the system.

Accessories for different extraction tasks

Different extraction hoods and suction nozzles can be fitted to the extraction arms. Selecting the appropriate design helps capture contaminants as close to the source as possible without obstructing the work process.

The range includes dome, flat screen, square and metal extraction hoods, as well as rigid and flexible suction nozzles. The extraction arms can also be combined with different mounting accessories, control options and work lighting.

Fumex ME extraction arms can be used in a range of environments, including:

DESIGN AND TECHNICAL FEATURES
FOB5 autoclave series has a wide range of chamber volumes and come with both single and double vertical sliding door:
FOB5 series can be designed with a single or double stainless steel sealing flange (BIOSEAL), making it suitable for laboratory risk category L3 and L4 and operating theater. FOB5 Lab Sterilizers have two high-efficiency internal 316L stainless steel plates which can be used as heat-exchanger system for steam preheating, to cool the chamber temperature down by using cold water.
Moreover – as an option – these plates can be used to perform final drying.
FOB5 autoclaves are made of 316L stainless steel as well as pneumatic valves and hydraulic components.
Full and easy accessibility to technical area from the front and lateral side allows service and regular maintenance. External trolleys are fully compatible with FGW Fedegari Glassware Washer Series to assure integration between cleaning and sterilization processes in your laboratory.
FOB5 series is equipped with DCS20 process controller: 30 cycles easy to customize in a multi-user environment. Large touch-screen color display and interface for remote monitoring via Ethernet control. DCS20 process controller is fully validated and documented.

As in a biological safety cabinet, the chamber of a Kuhner incubator shaker can also be sterilized with an integrated UV lamp. The lamp is situated to maximise irradiation of the chamber and shaking table. ATEX chemistry diaphragm pumps offer all advantages of oil-free chemistry diaphragm pumps. Typical applications are rotary evaporators and drying ovens with potentially explosive atmospheres. The ATEX approval includes the interior of the pump (in contact with pumped gases) as well as the surrounding area of the pump. All wetted parts of the pumps have excellent chemical resistance and are mainly made of antistatic materials. Included in delivery is a separate gas ballast connection part for use of inert gas.
