Rotary evaporator

Rotary evaporators are used to remove solvents, concentrate solutions and recover solvents. The thin liquid film formed on the wall of the rotating evaporation flask increases the evaporation surface area, while reduced pressure lowers the solvent’s boiling point. The solvent vapour condenses in the condenser and collects in the receiving flask.

The power supply of the rotary evaporator is ensured by a power socket at the rear of the chiller. Moreover and despite its small footprint, this chiller also provides space for a vacuum pump and mounting possibilities for the automatic module Hei-VOLUME Distimatic Pro. At the same time, with its cooling capacity of up to 5 kW, this recirculation chiller is extremely powerful. It has a large reservoir being particularly useful for peak loads, and a high flow rate. It is suitable even for demanding liquids like low-boilers and continuous evaporation, combined with the automatic module Hei-VOLUME Distimatic Pro.
